ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Thomas Corkran is a Berklee College of Music graduate who works in the film industry as a music composer and sound professional. An award-winning and Emmy-nominated composer, Thomas has created music and soundscapes for a wide range of films throughout his career. As co-creator of the Spooksters series, Thomas has long aspired to blend immersive music, sound, and meaningful life lessons into creative children's literature. When he's not writing, Thomas enjoys spending time with his family, getting lost on hiking trails, and finding inspiration in the everyday absurdities that often become the seeds of fun and memorable children's stories. He lives in Southern California with his wife and two daughters, where he continues to compose music and develop new creative projects.

 

Joe Plascencia is a creative director and children's book author with a passion for storytelling that encourages confidence, creativity, and self-expression. Drawing inspiration from his love of music, art, and family, Joe created the Spooksters series to help children navigate everyday challenges through fun, memorable adventures. When he's not writing, Joe works with businesses and organizations to bring ideas to life through design, branding, and visual storytelling. He lives in Arizona with his wife and two children and believes that every child has a unique voice worth sharing with the world.
